The South Florida deathcore rager, Bodysnatcher has announced their upcoming album, Hell is Here, Hell is Home and it is due for release on April 10th. We have been given a chunky bite of brutality in the form of The Maker, the opening track on the album and indicator of things to follow.
It wastes little time on pleasantries as it explodes in aggressive savagery – guttural vocals, pinch harmonics, concussive percussion, and stacked breakdowns – this is three minutes of unrelenting rage and I suspect the rest of the album will follow in similar sonic suit. The band is known for engaging with themes of struggle and betrayal, and have consistently channelled concepts of overcoming hardship and coping with the catastrophes of life. This release feels immensely personal – something akin to individualised vengeance.
Their sound has certainly been refined for this record and I relish the album art. The overall quality of their craft is increasing and if this is a preview of what is to come; we can expect even harder and heavier hitting hostility from these hardcore henchmen.
Be sure to catch them live for the North American Chaos & Carnage 2026 tour, starting on the 2nd of May in Phoenix and maintaining the mayhem across the continent, and throughout the rest of the month, eventually ending in Las Vegas.
Dwell in Darkness. Live in Light.
