Consisting of nine neck snapping slabs of exquisitely constructed smolder this twenty nine minute foray into syncopated rhythmic battery, staccato riffs, blistering double kick bludgeon and bone shattering breakdowns is made to make your body move.
Akin to such groups like Slaughter To Prevail, Signs Of The Swarm and Within Destruction the type of turbulent, tightly wound and streamlined Slamming Deathcore that Kanine unleash is built upon a bedrock of machine gun riffs, roaring vocals and demonic drumming that is the audio equivalent to a college fraternity set ablaze by neon lighting, chrome furnishes, machismo, testosterone and steroid driven skull duggery.
In other words its frat-house fun and emblematic of the fact that this type of Deathcore has in many ways become the modern equivalent to Nu-Metal albeit heavier,angrier and far more frenzied.
Whether its the bass-drop bliss of “Gangrene”, the beefy breakdowns of title track “Karnage” or the stuttering riffs and rhythms of “Abysses” it is evident that Kanine know how to throw down with the best of them and their entry into the “bro-core” stakes is undeniably noteworthy.
